John Russ

Vice President of Operations

John is the Vice President of Operations for The Whayland Company and is responsible for all field operations and Project Management. John’s duties include daily interaction with all field personnel including each Superintendent to review Project progress as well as assisting with their daily challenges. John also serves as a Project Manager for several Projects while supervising several other Project Managers and their daily challenges. John had the privilege to serve in the United States Marine Corps which developed many characteristics which serve him well in his current role at The Whayland Company. John borrows the Marine Corps attitude to Adapt, Overcome, and Improvise in many of his daily interactions and challenges. John is a Blue Card holder from Storm Water Management and is also OSHA 30 Certified and is certified to operate lifts and other related equipment. He has a work history which includes many years experience in cabinetry and countertops, residential electrical with light commercial experience and also HVAC. On a personal note, John enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children as well as fishing and hunting and other outdoor activities around the water.
