Management Team

Steve Hentschel is the President of The Whayland Company since 2013. He is responsible for overall management of the company, projects, processes, business development, and general management of the business. Steve has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. His background as a controller, general manager, and senior project manager for multiple projects gives him a high level of expertise in all areas. Therefore, he is accustomed to managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering them on time and on budget. Steve is member of several Chamber of Commerce’s and Contractors for a Cause. He also volunteers with the Fruitland Falcons Youth Sports organization, the Lions Club, and Blood Bank of Delmarva. Steve is married with two sons. In his time off, he enjoys golf, boating, and spending time with family.
