Work Continues on Carillon Woods in Long Neck
The locally owned and operated Whayland Company is pleased to announce its ongoing relationship with the Ocean Atlantic Companies, this time in creating a multi-building residential community in the Long Neck area.
The seven building project is in progress and will complete the Carillon Woods community, which will not only include a wide selection of apartments, but also amenities such as a clubhouse, an outdoor swimming pool, pickle ball courts, a dog park, walking trails and more.
Two buildings are already occupied, with the third building scheduled for completion later this month.
“This has been a great project to work on, and we’re happy to once again be working with Ocean Atlantic in what has become a fantastic mutually beneficial relationship over the years,” says Steve Hentschel, owners and president of the Whayland Co. “This is again improving our local communities, and it’s always great when two locally owned companies who have a vested interest in the area come together to work on a project like this one.”
Whayland has a long history with Ocean Atlantic, having completed residential clubhouse builds in local communities that include the Peninsula on the Indian River Bay, the Coastal Club and Woodfield.
Though these projects are considered to be residential in nature, they have a number of the same characteristics as the commercial building projects Whayland has become known for over the years.
They’ve also become an increasingly significant part of Whayland’s business, through partnerships with companies like Ocean Atlantic.
“The Whayland Co., has become a trusted and valued member of our development team, through several projects that we’ve worked on in the past,” says Tom Tipton, Ocean Atlantic’s president and chief operation officer. “We very much appreciate their dedication to Carillon Woods and to the other projects they’ve worked on with us over the last few years.”
Carillon Woods features a large selection of one, two and three bedroom apartments, and is located just a short drive from Delaware’s popular coastal resorts.
The community is expected to be completed by later in 2019.
